Telehealth counseling for teens and adults in New Jersey and South Carolina.
Morning Star Counseling serves teens (ages 15 and up) and adults from all walks of life, via telehealth in New Jersey and South Carolina. Individuals from every background are welcome.
Whether your goal is post-traumatic growth, management of current stressors, or a sounding board for future decisions, you are welcome in this space. You, as the client, will determine the direction and speed with which we will explore the wonder that is you. One thing that Our Lord has consistently emphasized to me both through life experience and in my professional training is the value, the necessity, of slowing things down inside. As my IFS instructor wisely put it: we are created as human BE-ings, not human “DO-ings.” Nurturing your ability to discover and cherish that internal space where God waits for you, where you discover your ability to see yourself and your world in a new light, is the focus and joy of my practice.
My modality of choice, Internal Family Systems (IFS), utilizes the 8 ‘C’s of Self leadership: Calm, Curiosity, Compassion, Confidence, Creativity, Courage, Clarity, and Connectedness to reconnect with those parts of ourselves that need to be valued and heard. From there, the natural progression leads to self-understanding, growth, and if necessary, healing. There are no bad parts. Whether you struggle with an inner critic, procrastination, the aftermath of trauma, addiction, loneliness, etc., you are created good, and there is goodness in you! I pray that you will allow me the honor of accompanying you on your journey to reconnect with and celebrate your SELF!

Faith can be a profound source of strength, hope, and healing. At Morning Star Counseling, the client has the option to integrate his or her spiritual beliefs and values into the therapeutic process.
At Morning Star Counseling, your care and well-being are our highest priorities. We are a private-pay practice, which allows therapy to be guided by your unique needs rather than the limitations and requirements often imposed by insurance companies. This approach provides the time, flexibility, and individualized attention needed to foster meaningful healing in a safe and supportive environment.
While we do not accept insurance directly, many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their Out-of-Network (OON) benefits. If requested, we are happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
A sliding scale is available for those who qualify.
